White Bird Dance - Alonzo King - Lines with the Shaolin Monks
With utter calm and fierce precision, the dancers of LINES Ballet and Shaolin Temple USA create an unprecedented synthesis of Eastern and Western classical forms.
"Watching these two groups together, kung fu begins to look more like art for its own sake, and ballet like self-defense, and you begin to wonder if perhaps both are fighting forms after all -- fighting for a life of truth and beauty that all humans crave."
-- San Francisco Chronicle

Anatta - Michael Sakamoto & Waewdao Sirisook
Anatta is a program of new contemporary music and dance works performed by Los Angeles based interdisciplinary performer Michael Sakamoto and Thai dancer-choreographer Waewdao Sirisook with original music by acclaimed new music composer/percussionist Amy Knoles and avant-garde sound artist Bob Bellerue. Anatta takes its title from a Buddhist concept concerning the illusory nature of the self. Combining electronic mixology, lo-tech invention, Butoh, contemporary performance, and traditional Thai dance, Anattadelves into contemplative physical practices and imagery based in key Buddhist concepts - permanence and impermanence, joy and suffering, form and emptiness - to express a benevolent core of human experience and the integration of body, mind, and spirit.

Swan Lake
A heart-wrenching fable of true love heroically won and tragically squandered. Swan Lake is classical theatricality at its thrilling best. Virtuoso solos, an achingly beautiful score, and a majestic corps de ballet in brilliant white are all emblematic of the opulent grandeur of the greatest of all 19th-Century story ballets. When we premiered our new Swan Lake in 2006, every performance sold out well in advance. Subscribe today and get the seats you want at the very best price before they go on sale to the general public!

GRUB
A new, multimedia performance by tEEth, Grub explores the complexities, oddities, and layers of group dynamics, human relationships, and the relationship to self. In a world where human contact is no longer a necessity for survival, disconnection and isolation thrive, causing individual existence to drift and obscure from reality. Identities are warped and fabricated and manufactured experiences become dominant. Equipped with cameras, the performers reveal a filtered perspective, intensifying moments on stage. Tense, contorted, movement and an original sound score of arresting melodies, complete this exploration of identity and complex relationships, navigating a clumsy path toward human reconnection and truth.
